This is it!  Our final spelling list of the year!

Phonics - We have been working on words that have 2 syllables and a suffix s, ed, and ing.  We also learned when to use the es suffix.  We learned that if a word ends in ch, sh, s, x, or z you use the suffix es.  

Reading - This week we finished up our final round of running records.  Our word work was a hit - making silly sentences!  Our favorite was rolling dice to make sentences!

Math - In math we worked on counting coins, figuring out how to make the correct amount with coins, identifying fractional parts of a whole, and math facts.

Writing - We finished our diamante poems this week.  Now we are working on making a first grade memory book.

Science - This week we continued working on activity 2 - Animal Communication.  We had to practice communicating without speaking.  We used sight, touch, and hearing (with clapping).  It was challenging!

Religion - In Friendzy this week we worked on "Do the Right Thing".  We finished our virtues and values cards on modesty.  For our final BOLT awards - Caroline was the recipient for the month of May.
