Phonics - We have started to learn about suffixes.  A suffix is a word ending.  So far we have learned the suffix s.  The main part of the word is called the baseword.  

Writing and Handwriting - We continue to work on neatness, forming letters the correct way, writing letters on the correct lines, and using good spacing.  Last week we finished up our journals.  This week we will start working on our personal narrative writing unit.

The New Franken fire department came to Holy Cross to talk about fire safety.
