Last Day of School!

Happy Summer!

Last day compared to First Day.  They have grown!

This is one of my absolute favorite things to do with first graders!  I have them write and illustrate on the first day of school.  Then I have them write and illustrate on the last day of school.  I don't show them their first day work until they are finished with their last day work.  Then we compare their handwriting, use of capitals and lowercase letters, punctuation, illustrating, and coloring, etc.  The differences are always AMAZING!  It shows how much these students have grown in the course of one school year.  I am so proud of how hard these kids have worked and how much they have grown!
