Reading - We continue to work on assessments. We also continue to practice working in our centers independently.  

Volunteers during our Reading Block

I love to have volunteers during our reading time!  Reading is every day from 10:00 - 11:00.  Please let me know if you can join us!

Phonics - We are working on digraphs and CVC words.  We have been learning trick words and vocabulary words.  We are getting better at sound, word, and sentence dictation.

Science - We learned about sound waves and vibration in our light and sound unit.  We had fun using cup phones to see if we could hear our partner and feel the vibration of the spring.

Math - We have been working on doubles and doubles plus one.  We are getting close to the end of our first unit.  We have learned many ways to solve addition problems.

Religion - In our Bible we read about Abraham.  We learned that there are 7 sacraments.  We have been focusing on the sacrament of Baptism.  We learned a fun song called The Fruit of the Spirit.  The class is getting really good at it!

*Please remember to send a snack with your child on early release days. 

 *Remember to pack silverware with your child if they will need silverware.  We do not have a kitchen this year to go to for silverware.
