Phonics - We have been working on 2 syllable words that have both a closed syllable and a v-e syllable.

Science - We are working on the animal adaptations project.  In the project, we have to be a traveler to one of the four environments. (African Savanna, Arctic, Amazon Rainforest, Sahara Desert)  The traveler needs to use one of each adaptation in their environment.  (food, camouflage, protection, locomotion)  The students worked on brainstorming what they could use in each environment.  Then they began working on their posters.  We also finished up learning about each of the environments and 2 organisms from each environment

Religion - We finished up our Promise Books!  Our final lesson was about places that you pray and prayers.

Math - We are working on 2D shapes and partners of 10.

***When we go to the Children's Museum everyone has to bring a cold lunch.  Make your child's lunch a BROWN BAG LUNCH.  That means - no lunch boxes.  Place your child's lunch in a bag that we can throw away.  Everything in the lunch must be consumable.  No tupperware or water bottles.  The lunch must have plastic utensils, baggies, etc. To drink, please pack a small consumable water bottle, juice, etc.  We will not be holding on to lunch items or bringing anything from their lunches back.***

Have a great week!
