Spelling - Bonus Letters

Phonics - We are learning about bonus letters.  A bonus letter is when you have a double f, l, or s at the end of a word.  The rule is - the word needs to be one syllable and have one short vowel.  If the word ends with f, l, or s, you double the final consonant.

Science - We have started learning about light!  Today we explored through 4 light centers.  The centers included:  flashlights and mirrors, flashlights and your hands, flashlights and color filters, and flashlights and diffraction grating.

Today we had our first visit of the year from the therapy dogs Sassy and Morgan.  Sassy visited our classroom with Mr. Paul.
